Paul Januszewski is the Fire Chief for the Town of North Haven. Paul was raised in the Town of Enfield and moved to the area during 2002 upon accepting a position with the North Haven Fire Department. Today Paul resides in North Haven with his wife and three children who attend North Haven Public Schools.
Paul is a 20 year veteran of the fire service. He spent the first five years of his career as a volunteer firefighter with the Enfield Fire Department District 1 during which time he also served as a career firefighter with the Somers Fire Department. For the last 15 years, as a member of the North Haven Fire Department he has held the rank of firefighter, Lieutenant and Fire Chief.
Chief Januszewski holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Safety Administration from Charter Oak State College and a Master’s in Public Administration from Arkansas State University. He holds a variety of professional certificates from the Connecticut Commission on Fire Prevention and Control, the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the National Fire Academy. During 2009, Paul obtained licensure as a Nationally Registered Paramedic which he maintains today. Additionally Paul is a participant of the four year Executive Fire Officer Program for which credits will be applied to a future PhD program.
