Fire Chief/Fire Marshal- Paul Januszewski
Paul Januszewski has been a professional firefighter with the North Haven Fire Department since 2002 having served previously as a volunteer firefighter with the Enfield Fire Department. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Safety Administration and a Masters of Pubic Administration degree. Additionally he is a licensed Paramedic and maintains National Registry certification in addition to being a CT certified Fire Service Instructor and Emergency Medical Services Instructor. He is an adjunct professor with the University of New Haven Henry C. Lee Institute where he develops and teaches courses in fire administration and emergency management. Paul is also a graduate of the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program.
Deputy Chief-Administration/Deputy Fire Marshal David Marcarelli
David J. Marcarelli has been a professional firefighter since 1994 and the Deputy Fire Chief since 2011. He is a certified State of Connecticut Fire Marshal, Emergency Medical Technician, and both a fire service and EMS instructor. He is an adjunct instructor at Gateway Community College teaching in the field of Fire Service and technology. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Eastern Connecticut State University, and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of New Haven, CT. He also holds several state certifications in both the fields of fire science and emergency medical services.
Deputy Fire Chief-Operations/Deputy Fire Marshal- Scott Martus
Fire Inspector-James Eatherton
James W. Eatherton has been a State of Connecticut certified Fire Marshal since 2000 and the Fire Inspector since 2016.
He has been a volunteer firefighter for many years and holds several state certifications, including Fire Officer I.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Connecticut.
