The Fire Marshal’s Office consists of Fire Inspector(s)/Fire Investigator(s) overseen by the Fire Chief who serves as the appointed Fire Marshal. The office provides for the inspection of buildings and occupancies which are required and defined within Connecticut General Statutes Sec. 29-305. With over 2600 occupancies to inspect in North Haven, fire inspections occur every day resulting in the documentation and correction of violations of the CT Fire Safety Code.
All plan reviews pertaining to building, renovations, fire suppression systems, and fire alarm systems are handled through the Office of the Fire Marshal. The office is responsible for all fire prevention and risk management information and enforcement.
