North Haven Fire Department Responds to Fatal Motorcycle Crash

NORTH HAVEN — Chief Paul Januszewski reports that the North Haven Fire Department responded this evening to a single vehicle crash involving a motorcycle that resulted in the death of the rider.

North Haven Police and Fire responded at 6:21 p.m. Monday to the area in front of 196 Maple Ave. for a reported crash between a motorcycle and a utility pole.

Upon arrival, firefighters located the rider and sole occupant of the motorcycle, a 48-year-old man from New Haven, to be suffering traumatic injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the North Haven Police Department. The identity of the victim is being withheld at this time pending notification of next of kin.
